Recently, he has had the amazing opportunity to work with some professional athletes from his favorite local championship team The Golden State Warriors and the 2 time MVP. Packie has worked with children age 6 and older to professionals players both here and overseas. He has a unique approach to teaching and making sure the game is always enjoyable. Many young athletes are passionate about basketball and he wants to help not only ignite that fire, but allow it to grow so that it never burns out.
Coach Packie attended Holy Names University and received a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and Sports Management.
Larisa Nakasone was born and raised in Honolulu, Hi where she played four years of Girls' Varsity Basketball. She won a division 2 state title her junior of high school and was MVP of her team her senior year.
Larisa played her collegiate years at Holy Names University. There she won 4 conference championship and 4 appearances to the NAIA National championship tournament. Two of those years were as a graduate assistant coach and this is when her passion for coaching emerged.
Larisa developed a holistic athletic training philosophy at Saint Mary's College in Moraga, Ca. While obtaining her master's in Counseling she was able to advance her mentoring, leadership and communication skills.
Chris Head was born and raised in Oakland California. He attended St. Mary’s College High School in Berkeley California. Chris graduated from Hampton University in 2013, with a NCAA tournament appearance. He was blessed to play overseas 2 plus years with the goal of continuing to play in the future. Chris hopes to mentor the kids he works with and show them the fundamentals to being a great person on and off the basketball court.
My name is Josh Flores, I was born and raised in the Bay Area. I played basketball at Serra High School (C/O 2013) in San Mateo. I went away for college and received my B.S. in Kinesiology-Exercise Science from California State University, Long Beach in 2017. In addition to training at UPB, I am currently working as an aide in an outpatient general orthopedics clinic in the Financial District of SF. I am a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and my focus is to impact lives through informing individuals of all age groups about body awareness and proper biomechanics. Basketball is my passion and after having multiple knee surgeries due to ACL tears I am able to share my journey. I teach the lessons I learned through my recovery to athletes in order to mitigate the likelihood of them getting injured and prepare their bodies to be resilient for their respective sport. I’m an avid runner and a member of the WeRunSF running club in San Francisco.

Giovana Frediani was born and raised in Oakland Ca. She run the day to day here at UPB while managing along side Bianca, any and all programs and clinics. Giovana also teaches group and private yoga lessons at UPB.
Coach Cal Spurlock completed his freshman year at Sonoma State last year. He selected Sonoma State to study business and play basketball. He played four years for Burlingame high School. There he was a three year starter on varsity as well as a first team all league selection in the peninsula athletic league. He aims to get better every time he steps foot on the floor and values the fundamentals of the game.
Coach Javier was born in Havana, Cuba in 1997. He is 21 year old with a massive love for the sport of basketball. He was raised in Lehigh Acres, Fl where he attended East Lee County High School. He played basketball at the varsity level and then went on to be an assistant coach after graduating. He was excited to join the UPB team so he can impact young athletes helping them grow on and off the court, while expanding his basketball knowledge.
Mike grew up playing basketball and football where he learned leadership, teamwork, and most importantly the benefits of having a strong mindset.
His goal is to help others create a thriving mindset that can benefit them in the game and also in the transitions of life.
Mike has a Masters Degree in Sport Psychology from JFK University and brings experience working with athletes from the youth level to the professional level. He has learned under the Play Present system created by his mentor, NBA mental skills coach Graham Betchart, and has helped develop two mental training companies; Play Present and Lucid Performance.
Graham’s teachings are sought after by some of today’s top professional athletes. He is passionate about helping all players reach their full potential by creating and maintaining a mindset for success and believes the mind can be trained like the body. Graham has worked with the NBA Players Association, team USA Basketball, trained three of the last four #1 NBA Draft picks, and Aaron Gordon since the age of 11. He is the creator of Play Present and played a key role in developing Lucid Performance. Graham often provides motivational speeches at Fortune 5,000 companies, universities and high schools.
