Oderah Chidom was born and raised in Oakland, CA. She graduated from Bishop O’Dowd High School (c/o 2013). At O’Dowd she led her team to two state championships, was a McDonald’s All-American, WBCA All-American and played on the USA u17 team. Oderah attended Duke University. She was captain of the 2016-17 season and totaled a 55.4 field goal percentage, which ranked sixth on Duke’s career charts. Also, her 153 blocked shots ranked sixth as well. Oderah studied public policy and marketing & management. Oderah was drafted to WNBA and played one season for the Atlanta Dream. She also played professionally in Europe for three seasons. Oderah is excited to join the UPB team and share her passion for the game.
Coach Cal is a rising sophomore at Skyline College with varied passions in basketball and business. He attended Burlingame High School where he played varsity for 3 years. After graduating he red shirted one year at Sonoma State before transferring to Skyline College. He has worked for UPB for 3 years and loves seeing kids improve their self-esteem and confidence after working hard at the game.
